The acting (acting) commander of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Capital City, Nikola Bojanović, thanked Mayor Saša Mujović, as well as Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, for the decision to reward firefighters with 1.500 euros each.
"On behalf of the Capital City Protection and Rescue Service and on my own behalf, I express my deep gratitude to the Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Mayor Saša Mujović for the decision to reward our work and dedication in this way. This gesture represents a strong message of support and recognition for the days and nights spent in the field fighting the fire. It gives us additional strength and motivation to continue to be at the disposal of citizens and ready to protect their lives and property," he said.
He pointed out that he was particularly pleased that Mujović "kept his word to the firefighters that all overtime hours would be paid."
Bojanović said that for them, this "has special value, because it shows respect for every effort made."
"We are even more encouraged that, in addition to the financial reward, our recovery was also considered, because that is precisely what shows a true understanding of the gravity and responsibility of the work we do. On behalf of all firefighters, thank you," concluded Bojanović.
