Limski spust “Jezdimir Jezdo Vujičić” attracted 88 rafters

The fifth traditional Limski descent "Jezdimir Jezdo Vujičić" from Kumanica near Bijelo Polje to Prijepolje was held today, organized by the NGO "Euromost" and the PSK "Kolovrat" from Prijepolje, under the auspices of the Vujičić family.

The now traditional regatta, which brought together 88 participants from Montenegro and Serbia on ten boats, was organized in honor of Jezdimir Jezda Vujičić, a famous Bijelo Polje businessman, protector of the Lim River and one of the founders of the Lim Regatta.

One of the organizers, the director of the NGO "Euromost" Almer Mekić, recalled that Vujičić dedicated his entire life to the Lim River, but that the Municipality of Bijelo Polje did not recognize all that he did for his city after his death.

"Vujičić was the first member of the Czech expedition team that explored the Đalovića Cave, up to 20 kilometers long. For years, he has organized hundreds of programs and events for Bijelo Polje, he is the first patron of the Tambura Festival in Bijelo Polje, as well as other events," said Mekić, adding that he will at least partially correct this injustice by proposing to the Municipality to posthumously award Vujičić the highest municipal award - the January XNUMXrd Award.
