Minister of Health Yesterday, as part of a working visit, Vojislav Šimun visited the Administration and central warehouse of the Health Institution Pharmacy of Montenegro - Montefarm and on that occasion he learned more about the way the institution operates and functions.
"During the visit, the minister expressed satisfaction with the work of the management and the results achieved, particularly emphasizing the importance of Montefarma in the supply system of medicines and medical supplies. Plans for improving the warehouse, including increasing capacity and modernization, as well as opening new pharmacies, were also discussed, which will further improve the availability of pharmaceutical healthcare across the country," the Ministry of Health announced.
Director of Montefarm Aleksandar Bogavac, with associates, he also presented "ideas focused on innovative models of improving the availability of pharmaceutical healthcare in rural and hard-to-reach parts of Montenegro", with the aim of ensuring equal access to medicines and pharmaceutical services for all citizens, it added.
"During the visit, it was emphasized that Montefarm, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, will continue to develop projects and initiatives that strengthen the public health sector and improve the quality of pharmaceutical care," the statement reads.
Along with Šimun, State Secretary Slađana Perišić was also present on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
