A restrictive water supply regime in Herceg Novi will be in effect from September 1 to 12 due to regular cleaning of the hydrotunnel between Goričko Lake and the Plat HPP.
Due to the overhaul of the hydrotunnel, it is necessary to close the pipeline, which runs from the Plat hydroelectric power plant to Mojdež, said the technical director of the Water Supply and Sewerage Department, Goran Simović.
"Once the tunnel is closed, water distribution to our consumers will be carried out from the Opačica water source. One part will be taken over from the regional water supply, and the other will be provided to us by our colleagues from the Konavle Municipal Company, it is their independent system," Simović told the RTHN portal.
According to him, consumers in Kamenari and Bijela will have water from the Regional Water Supply System, and the maximum quantity is 50 liters per second.
"It won't be continuous, it will be more in the morning and evening hours, and when there is peak consumption, about 40 to 50 liters per second. That's what the Regional Water Supply can currently deliver to us," added Simović.
During the restrictive period, users will be able to obtain all information through the Water Supply and Sewerage call center, 19966, 24 hours a day. The Water Supply and Sewerage Technical Service appeals to consumers to use water rationally.
During the restrictive regime, settlements from Sutorina to Meljina will have water from 8 am to 10 am and from 20 pm to 22 pm.
Settlements from Zelenika to Bijela from 5 to 7 and from 17 to 19 p.m.
Podi, Čela and Topla 3 settlements from 5 to 7 and from 17 to 19 p.m.
The settlements of Bijela and Kamenari will have continuous water supply from the Regional Water Supply System, with the possibility of interruptions in the late evening hours from 1 to 5 am.
Ratisevina settlement from 6 to 9 and from 18 to 21 p.m.
Sušćepanska Street, or consumers connected to the pressure pipeline of the Stanišića Dubrava reservoir, will have water during the time period when the reservoir is being filled.
The settlement of Žvinje will be supplied by a cistern as needed, as will other settlements that cannot receive water for technical reasons.
