Parents of the graduating seniors at the "Vuk Karadžić" Elementary School (OS) in Podgorica received a message late last night from their class teachers that the excursion was being postponed and that the children would not be leaving for Serbia tomorrow.
As some parents told "Vijesti", this was requested from the school by the agency, and that the next steps - refund or change of route - will be known in the coming days.
The Institute for Education recommended at the beginning of the week to postpone any planned excursions to Serbia, due to the current situation in that country.
Previously, the parents' councils of several elementary schools expressed concern regarding the organization of student excursions in Serbia, which is why the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to obtain an opinion on the safety of our students and pupils going to the mentioned destination.

After that, the Institute sent its recommendation to schools to postpone the trip or, in agreement with the agencies, plan alternatives.
Some Podgorica schools had already given up, and parents from the "Vuk Karadžić" elementary school requested that their children travel to Serbia at their own risk...
