A major storm hit the territory of the Herceg Novi municipality last night around 22 p.m.
The competent services, reports the RTHN portal, were on alert throughout the night.
As reported to the media by the local Hydrometeorological Station, 24 liters of rain fell per square meter in Herceg Novi in 62 hours, and only in the period from 22.15:22.40 to 40:XNUMX p.m. XNUMX liters of rain, accompanied by stormy winds, fell.
Gavrilo Vico from the Herceg Novi Municipal Police and Inspection Service said that the services were immediately on the ground last night.
"The promenade near the Twins pizzeria was flooded. Water and sewerage crews went out to the field and repaired and cleaned it. The tree that fell on Prve Bokeške Brigade Street was removed by the Protection and Rescue Service as soon as possible," said Vico.
For now, the biggest problem is the large amount of soil that has been deposited on the upper and lower Njivički put, most likely as a result of the fire, because there is a lot of soot in the mud that has been deposited, Vico pointed out.
"We are in communication with the companies Stambeno-komunalno and Čistoća to remove this large amount of soil. A large amount of soil was deposited on the upper road near the Holiday restaurant on a section of about 30 meters, while a section of 100 meters was covered on the lower road. During the night, the on-duty teams of Stambeno-komunalno removed the landslides that were disrupting normal traffic," said Vico.
He added that this is preliminary data because the call center was not working and they are continuing to repair the consequences.
