The municipality of Tuzi has become an example for many local governments in Montenegro and beyond, said Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj.
He congratulated the President of the Municipal Assembly, Fadil Kajošaj, and the President of the Municipality, Lindon Đeljaj, on September 1st - Tuzi Municipality Day.
"It is my great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to all citizens of the Tuzi municipality, on behalf of the Ministry of Public Administration, as well as on my own behalf, on the occasion of September 1st - Municipality Day. Efficient administration and a responsible, hospitable attitude towards the needs of all citizens of this region are the values by which Tuzi stands out and has become an example for many local governments in Montenegro, but also beyond," Dukaj announced.
In six years of existence, as he said, the budget has been significantly increased, "which clearly speaks of the continuity and support for the development of local self-government in all parts of Malesia, without distinction."
"Multiethnic harmony, nurturing diversity, preserving history, culture and tradition, in conjunction with modern trends that are developed carefully and responsibly, confirm the vision of this municipality. Cooperation and support from the diaspora have always represented enormous potential for further development of the municipality, but this potential needs to be further developed through concrete ideas and projects," the minister added.
The infrastructure projects that have been implemented have contributed, he said, to more and more citizens of Tuzi recognizing the municipality "as a beautiful and comfortable place to live."
The local government of Tuzi, he adds, has always nurtured partnership relations in the Montenegrin, but also wider community, which is "additional potential when it comes to implementing modern development trends."
"The Ministry of Public Administration is developing instruments for strengthening local self-governments, with a special emphasis on digitalization, decentralization and democratization of social processes. The 'Municipalities for the EU' project is of exceptional importance for improving the partnership between central and local authorities, as well as other relevant institutions, with the wholehearted support of the European Commission in Montenegro. With best wishes to you, all citizens of the municipality of Tuzi, I once again congratulate you on the Day of the Municipality and am pleased to emphasize that the Ministry will continue to provide support in all areas within its jurisdiction," Dukaj announced.
