The Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Milan Gazdić, said that the Agency's Commission has not yet given a positive opinion for the construction of a collector in Botun, as announced by the President of the Democratic People's Party, Milan Knežević.
Knežević claims that this confirms joint criminal activity against the health of citizens and the environment in Gornja Zeta, so he called on the Special Prosecutor's Office to initiate proceedings against the members of the commission, and if that fails, he announced that he would personally file criminal charges.
Gazdić, on the other hand, told Television Vijesti that the opinion has not yet been rendered, but that it will be done by tomorrow.
Knežević said earlier today that it was his duty to inform the public that the commission formed by the Environmental Agency had already prepared a positive opinion and approval for the construction of the collector in Botun.
"This fully confirms that this is a joint criminal activity directed against the health of citizens and the environment in Botun and Gornja Zeta. I call on the SDT (Special State Prosecutor's Office) to initiate an investigation ex officio against the members of the commission who gave a positive opinion on the ecological genocide in Gornja Zeta and determine whether there are elements of abuse of official position and corruption in their behavior, which I have reasonable suspicions about and publicly point out," Knežević wrote on the social network Facebook.
