The example of not electing members of the Council of the Regulatory Agency for Audiovisual Media Services is just one in a series of examples of how the majority renders the EU integration path meaningless, said Boris Mugoša, president of the Social Democratic Party of Serbia parliamentary group and representative of the European Union.
"A law is passed within the framework of the IBAR law, which was a condition for the temporary closure of Chapter 10, and then obstructions are carried out for a year in its implementation... Such is the entire EU story of the ruling coalition's armchair...", said Mugoša.
According to him, the story boils down to the passing of laws, while in implementation, due to "political blackmail and trade and the desire to politically cover every institution, we have non-implementation or poor implementation of them."
"Of course, to make things even more picturesque, it ends with the majority abstaining in their vote for candidates who meet the legal requirements and without any explanation for such a vote (the same as with the Vice Governor of the Central Bank)," Mugoša said.
