A bus driver from the Podgorica-based company "Putevi" participated in a fight that took place today, around noon, on Moskovska Street in the capital.
A video posted on the Facebook group Oči Podogrice shows a man hitting another person, who falls to the ground due to the force of the blow.
Director of "Putevi" Radoš Zečević said that the conflict arose over a "banal trifle." He also pointed out that the bus driver was provoked by another traffic participant, adding that citizens could have seen what actually happened.
"The bus must have the right of way. The nervous driver showed extreme arrogance. He called our employee names and yelled at him. Our driver left the bus, even though he shouldn't have done so. He was beaten up. Luckily, a colleague with another bus came to separate them," he said.
He also pointed out that the driver of the car "admitted his guilt."
"He will be prosecuted. It is high time something like this was done. The drivers of 'Putevi' are clay 'pigeons' for nervous road users. They break our buses, insult and harass the drivers. Do we have to send security with them?" he said.
Zečević told the editorial staff that the driver of "Putevi" escaped with minor injuries.
"We will closely monitor what the state authorities will do, this is pure hooliganism. We will also warn our drivers not to react to provocations and not get out of their vehicles."
