The Royal Capital of Cetinje, in cooperation with the company "Project - Consulting" (PROCON) from Podgorica, has announced a public call for tenders for a contractor for one of the most important infrastructure projects in the city - the improvement of the water supply system.
They said that the project represents a step forward towards the modernization and long-term stability of Cetinje's water infrastructure, aligned with the highest European standards and practices.
The project includes: installation of transit and distribution pipelines in an approximate length of 92 kilometers, construction of new reservoirs and installation of flow meters, reconstruction of the existing water supply network, reconstruction of the transit pipeline from the Lašor break chamber to the Zagrablje reservoir, construction of the new Sandin vrh 1 reservoir and the Sandin vrh 2 pumping station, reconstruction of the Višnjica pumping station and the Velja Gora break chamber.
The implementation of the water infrastructure improvement project is planned in six phases, of which the implementation of the third phase is underway - in the Bajice settlement and on the ring road through Donje selo.
The total estimated value of the project is 21,6 million euros, of which 12,6 million is provided through grants and a loan arrangement with the European Investment Bank, while the remainder is financed from the Capital Budget of the Royal Capital and a binding loan in the amount of four million euros.
The implementation of the project is planned to reduce water losses, increase the reliability and stability of water supply, as well as ensure independent power supply to the main source - the Podgor pumping stations, by building a solar power plant, the Royal Capital announced.
