The "Be Human" Foundation announced today that it is celebrating nine years of existence, and that during that time, 132 children have been given the chance for a healthier childhood.
"The 'Be Humane' Foundation, founded on September 27, 2016 with the desire to unite the strength of solidarity and humanity of citizens, today celebrates nine years of existence and activity in Montenegro. Over the past years, the Foundation has become a recognizable place of togetherness and trust, through which the most important battles of life are achieved - the fight for children's health. From the very beginning, the goal of the Foundation was clear - that no child in Montenegro is left alone in their fight for health and that every family knows that they have the support of the community behind them," the statement states.
The foundation added that, thanks to the enormous support of the citizens of Montenegro, 132 children have been helped with their treatment to date, giving them the chance for a healthier, more carefree and happier childhood.
"When we launched the 'Be Humane' Foundation nine years ago, we could not have imagined how many children's smiles, parental hugs and tears of joy would mark this journey. Our mission from the very beginning was clear - to be a support for little ones who are fighting their biggest battles. Even today, as I look back, I am convinced that it is precisely their courage and their strength that move us the most. But none of these stories would be possible without all of you. Your support, willingness to help and the trust you show us - that is the true foundation of the 'Be Humane' Foundation," said Goran Jovanović, founder of the Foundation, in a statement.
The "Be Humane" Foundation said that over the course of nine years of work, they have built a wide network of people gathered around the same mission, whose selfless dedication gives strength to this story.
"It is precisely thanks to them that the Foundation has become a voice of humanity in Montenegro and proof that togetherness has the power to change lives. The Foundation attaches special importance to working with families, because every story behind a child's smile carries the burden of courage and sacrifice. It is precisely this strength of parents and children that is a reminder that humanity is the foundation on which we build a better society," the statement reads.
The "Be Human" Foundation said that in the years to come, they will continue their mission with the same dedication and belief that every child's smile is the greatest reward, and that every helping hand extended is confirmation that humanity is a lasting value in our society.
"Our biggest task is to bring back smiles to children and give hope to parents. We can only do that together. Thank you to everyone who has been with us for all these nine years. Together we can do even more and do even better," said Jovanović.
The "Be Humane" Foundation also announced that it would like to thank all the people who, with their trust, support, and kindness, gave the mission the strength to last and grow.
"The nine years behind us are proof that solidarity has the power to change lives, and the years ahead are an opportunity to build an even stronger future together for those who need our support the most," the statement reads.
