As part of the international RISE UP project, funded by the Interreg IPA CBC program, the Tivat Health Center provided its patients with a modern digital mammogram, manufactured by FUJI Amulet Innovality.
"This device represents the gold standard in the prevention and early detection of breast cancer in all women over the age of 40," the Tivat Health Center announced today.
They emphasize that the acquisition of a digital mammogram is a significant step forward for women's healthcare in Tivat and surrounding areas, as this type of diagnostics, which can save lives, becomes available to patients. A modern mammogram provides high precision and reliability in detecting even the smallest changes in the breasts, which is crucial for timely treatment.
Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women, and at the same time a disease that can be successfully treated in a large number of cases if detected in time.
Mammography is the gold standard of preventive breast examinations, as it allows for early detection of changes that can mean the difference between a cure and a severe outcome.
"Our message to women is clear - take time for yourself and your health. Preventive examinations are the most important step in the fight against breast cancer, and thanks to this project and the latest generation mammogram, the women of our city now have the opportunity to have their diagnostics performed at their local health facility," says the director of the Tivat Health Center, Dr. Danica Stevović.
She pointed out that the Tivat Health Center, through the RISE UP project, "further confirms its commitment to improving healthcare and strengthening preventive medicine."
"Thanks to the RISE UP project, the citizens of Tivat gain access to state-of-the-art equipment that brings safety, timely diagnosis, and a chance for a long and healthy life," concluded Stevović.
