The center of Petnjica, as announced by the local municipal office, has been without electricity since yesterday.
The statement states that the reason for this is network work being carried out by the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS).
"Despite the fact that extreme conditions are not present, at least in the stretch from the substation on Jaštak to the center of Petnjica, citizens have been left without electricity. A meeting was recently held with the CEDIS team at which this problem was pointed out, but despite this, the attitude of the authorities has not changed in terms of increasing responsibility and promptness. We have very clearly emphasized that, if there is a problem with the electricity network at higher quotas, it is not our settlements that should be deprived of electricity, but that the so-called disconnector should be reacted to and the teams should be directed so that the center of Petnjica receives electricity," the Petnjica Municipality statement reads.
They mentioned that they have the International Festival of Original Folklore Creativity today at 17 pm and that they will be dissatisfied if electricity is not provided, because the festival could be postponed due to this situation.
"Once again, we request that an urgent response be made and that this situation never repeats itself. One of the deputy prime ministers can testify that he was also in the "dark" in one of the Petnjica bars," the local administration announced.
