The chairman of the parliamentary committee for the political system, judiciary and administration, Vladislav Bojović, has scheduled a session of that body for October 20 at 11 am.
The Committee previously accepted initiatives for a control hearing of Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković, Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović and Acting Prosecutor Ana Perović Vojinović in connection with the "Telekom" case.
The topic of the control hearing is: "Prosecutor's activities that led to the dismissal of the criminal charges for abuse of official position, accepting bribes and creating a criminal organization during the sale of the former state-owned company Telekom."
The initiative to question Marković and Novović was submitted by Europe Now Movement (PES) MPs Vasilije Čarapić, Darko Dragović and Dražen Petrić. The head of the New Serbian Democracy Club (NSD) Dejan Đurović subsequently proposed to question Ana Perović Vojinović.
Đurović also proposed hearing Justice Minister Bojan Božović on the topic of international legal cooperation in the case, but that proposal did not receive a majority.
In early August, the Special State Prosecutor's Office dismissed criminal charges against former President Milo Đukanović, his sister Ana and several other individuals due to the statute of limitations. The Supreme State Prosecutor's Office announced that the decision was correct and legal.
The criminal complaint was filed six years ago by the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS).
