The University of Montenegro (UCG) is launching a significant project worth more than 800.000 euros, which will carry out the exterior decoration of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. The aim of the project is to create a modern and functional space that will improve the quality of life for students and employees and contribute to better connecting the faculty with student dormitories and the city area, the UCG announced.
According to the statement, the works include the reconstruction of the existing pedestrian and car zone, the installation of new materials, modern lighting and the construction of a parking space for the needs of the faculty. A new pedestrian connection is being formed between the faculty and student dormitories, along with the installation of benches, urban lighting and accompanying furniture.
A special emphasis of the project, it is added, is on the construction of a covered amphitheater, which will serve as an outdoor classroom and a space for public events and student manifestations. In addition, a pedestrian and recreational path will be formed, divided into three zones - a reserve, a quiet and a gathering zone, thus creating a space for students to stay, rest and socialize, the UCG said.
All surfaces will be paved with concrete slabs and tartan, with curbs and paved crossings. Special attention has been paid to preserving the existing greenery and planting new trees and ornamental plants, creating a pleasant and sustainable environment. Urban furniture will be made of durable and environmentally friendly materials - concrete, steel and composite wood.
The University of Montenegro said that with this project they continue to invest in improving infrastructure with the aim of creating a modern, functional and inspiring environment for learning and living.
