Vlahović Andrijašević: For 40 years, October has been the month of hope, struggle and solidarity, and pink is a symbol of strength and support

The Ministry of Health's campaign "Prevention is the Key - Think of Yourself", which is being implemented on the occasion of "Pink October" - the month dedicated to breast cancer prevention, continues with a new video featuring State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Mirjana Vlahović Andrijašević, the Ministry of Health (MZD) announced today.

"For 40 years, October has been the month of hope, struggle and solidarity, and pink is a symbol of strength and support," Vlahović Andrijašević pointed out.

The Ministry of Health said that with this message, Vlahović Andrijašević reminds us of the importance of unity and the continuous fight against breast cancer, as well as the importance of raising awareness about prevention and regular check-ups.

"Early detection of the disease is key to successful treatment, and breast ultrasound examinations are available in health centers throughout Montenegro and can be scheduled without delay. The next promotional stand as part of the campaign will be organized in Pljevlja, on October 15, from 11:00 to 13:00, in the city center, where representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro and the Pljevlja Health Center will talk to citizens about the importance of prevention, early detection and taking care of one's own health," said the Ministry of Health.

The government department said they are calling on all citizens to follow the campaign and "to spread the message together: prevention is key - think about yourself and your health."
