A seven-day musical spectacle, "weighing" around half a million euros, is preparing Budva for the New Year holidays beneath the walls of the Old Town.
"Vijesti" has unofficially confirmed that Aco Pejović, Bijelo Dugme, Perper, Emina Jahović, Relja i Nicholas, Peach, Lexington band, Sergej Cetkovic, Pedja Medenica, Boban Rajovic, Jovana Pajic i Mirza Selimović just some of the music stars who will perform during the seven-day music program, organized by the Municipality and Tourist Organization of Budva.
"For the first time in Montenegro, a drone show will be held this time to celebrate the New Year 2026. Fireworks are planned for every evening of the concerts, as well as a spectacular one for New Year's Eve. The participation of over 23 performers (music groups and soloists) confirms that this is the largest New Year's program ever organized in Montenegro, both in terms of duration and number of performers. In addition, visitors who decide to celebrate the craziest night and New Year's holidays in the metropolis of tourism can also expect daily programs and concerts, especially for the youngest," said the interlocutor of "Vijesti" from the organizational team.
"Vijesti" was also told that the seven-day New Year's program has already been conceived and will officially begin on December 29. As "Vijesti" unofficially learned, the program will be opened by Peđa Medenica, followed by Boban Rajović and Jovana Pajić, and the program will be closed that evening by Mirza Selimović.
The following night is reserved for pop music lovers, when the group Zana is scheduled to perform, followed by TAP 011. The same evening, the audience will also be entertained by Sara Jovanovic, and Marko Luis will perform at the end of the evening.
Unofficially, the star of the craziest night will be Aco Pejović, and before him on the big stage will be Teodora Scepanovic and Emina Jahović.
The stars of the first night in 2026 will be the iconic Yugoslav band Bijelo Dugme, preceded by Perper. The evening's program will be opened by a performance by the Chegi band.
The couple, Relja Popović and Nikolija, are scheduled to perform on January 2nd, followed by Breskvica, which, according to the organizers, should be attractive, especially to the younger audience.
Visitors to Budva, and organizers are expecting a record number of visitors, will enjoy performances by the Lexington band on January 3rd, followed by Sergej Ćetković.
The seven-day New Year's musical program will close on January 4th, when, according to the organizers, a "tribute night" will be held, featuring three bands with repertoire from the groups ABBA and AC/DC, as well as David Bowie.
"Vijesti" was unofficially told that slightly less than 300 thousand euros will be allocated for the fees of music stars, while complete technical support, including a stage under the Budva ramparts and fireworks, will cost at least another 150 thousand euros. The exact amount should be known in the coming days, when the organizers "draw the line".
The money that the Budva Tourism Authority invested in public New Year's celebrations in recent years has returned to the city and the tourism industry many times over, as tens of thousands of guests from the former Yugoslavia came to the tourism metropolis.
Budva has been organizing public receptions every year since 2000, and organizers hope that the attractive seven-day program will attract dozens of visitors, and that the weather will be favorable.
