The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property has issued a building permit for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the Zeta settlement of Botun, confirmed to "Vijesti".
The Capital City told the editorial staff that they had received verbal information about this, but that they had not yet received an official document.
According to information from "Vijesti", an appeal can be filed against the Ministry's decision issuing the building permit, but it does not postpone execution.
At the proposal of Slaven Radunović's department, the Government of Milojko Spajić this summer adopted the Spatial and Urban Plan of Montenegro, which, in addition to the construction of the plant in Botun, also envisages the construction of another, similar, plant in the municipality of Zeta.
The construction of the collector is opposed by the residents of Botuni, the Municipality of Zeta and the Democratic People's Party of Milan Knežević, who has threatened that representatives of his party will "overthrow" the government in Podgorica if the project is implemented. They claim that the construction of the collector would negatively affect the environment and people's health, and the residents have said that they will "defend their village with the only thing they have - their lives".
