Water in Bar will be cheaper next year

The price of water in Bar will decrease in 2026, both for delivered water and for wastewater disposal services. The variable part for delivered water will be reduced by slightly less than two percent, and the price for wastewater disposal will be lower by around four percent.

The fixed part of the price for delivered water, in a monthly amount, for all service users will amount to 0,9758 euros. The variable part of the price for delivered water is determined per one cubic meter of water for all service users in the amount of 0,9376 euros.

The fixed part of the price for accepted and discharged wastewater for all users will amount to 0,2484 euros. The variable part of the price for these services is determined per cubic meter of water in a quantity identical to the quantity of water delivered and amounts to 0,2514 euros for all users of the service.

The price of pumping and disposing of wastewater from a septic tank by tanker truck is determined per cubic meter, which for all users of this service is 15,4494 euros per cubic meter.

All service prices determined by the decision on prices for 2026 are subject to value added tax at a reduced rate of seven percent, in accordance with the Law on Value Added Tax, except for the price of pumping, transporting and disposing of wastewater from septic tanks, which is calculated at a rate of 21 percent.

The fixed part of the price for delivered water now amounts to 0,9485 euros per month for all users, and next year it would amount to 0,9758 euros for all users. The variable part of the price for delivered water now amounts to 0,9524 euros per cubic meter for all users, and next year it would amount to 0,9376 euros per cubic meter for all users.

The fixed part of the price for all users for receiving and discharging wastewater is now 0,2480 euros, and the decision stipulates that it will be 0,2484 euros per month next year. The variable part of the price for all users for receiving and discharging wastewater is now 0,2626 euros per cubic meter, and next year it will be 0,2514 euros per cubic meter for all users.

When it comes to pumping, transporting and disposing of wastewater from septic tanks, the price of the service has so far been 15.9786 euros per cubic meter, and next year it will be slightly cheaper - 15,4494 euros per cubic meter.

Mladen Đuričić, Director of Water and Sewerage, said that this is particularly significant considering that general economic conditions are marked by inflation and the growth of all business costs.

It should be borne in mind, in his words, that water delivery and wastewater disposal are the core business of that company and also the main source of income.

Ensuring a reliable and continuous water supply, as he said, is only possible through economically justified and realistic prices that enable the sustainability of a system that requires constant investment, modernization and technical improvement.
