The educational coloring book "National Costumes of Montenegro" was promoted today at the "Mahmut Lekić" Elementary School in Tuzi, with the aim of introducing children to the richness of Montenegrin cultural heritage.
The promotion was attended by the wife of the President of the State, Milena Milatović.
According to the President's Office, she participated in a creative coloring workshop with the youngest children.
"The event is dedicated to introducing children to the richness of Montenegrin cultural heritage through play, learning and togetherness," the statement says.
Milatović said that the event is an opportunity "to remind ourselves that we are united by the same values and ideals - love for family, tradition and our Montenegro."
She told the children to be proud to be citizens of a country where diversity is respected.
"Be proud to be citizens of Montenegro, a country where different languages, cultures and customs are respected and nurtured. Be proud to be from Tuzi, a place that testifies to the fact that in diversity lies our strength and potential," said Milatović.
The statement recalls that Milatović has already presented the coloring book in Montenegro, but also to the Montenegrin diaspora in New York, with the aim of nurturing the connection with the homeland and promoting the values of mutual respect.
It is added that the coloring book "National Costumes of Montenegro" encourages curiosity and creativity, while at the same time introducing children to the stories, symbols, and diversity of the country's regions.
"Through such initiatives, the youngest become "little guardians" of cultural heritage and ambassadors of appreciation for diversity in their communities," the statement said.
