Teachers who teach subjects for which competitions are organized can achieve 20 to 30 points, while those from non-competitive fields can receive 45 to 55 points.

Professional development is valued in the range of three to ten points, depending on the title, and mentoring students who achieve success in competitions is scored from five to fifteen points. Authorship of an approved textbook or manual carries 10 points, while published professional or scientific work in the field of education brings five. Additional points are also provided for participation in national and international projects.

When it comes to individuals with academic and scientific titles, in addition to participating in and leading research projects, it will also be valued if the professor is on Stanford's list of the world's most influential scientists.

A research monograph from a prominent global publisher brings 20 points, managing international projects 10, mentoring doctoral students 10, while an academic or scientific title is valued at 10 points.

Papers published in international indexed lists (SCI, SSCI, AHCI) are valued at 10 points, and other scientific papers and textbook authorship are valued at five points each.

In addition to results from international tests, for which up to 10 points are provided, depending on the level of student achievement, institutions are also scored on the quality of work according to the external evaluation of the Higher Education Commission, which carries 50 points for the grade "very successful", or 30 for "successful".

Students' results on the matriculation and vocational exams are valued at an additional 10 to 15 points, and the number of awards won at national and international competitions, in relation to the total number of students, brings up to 10 points.

Participation in international projects carries 10 points, and in national projects five points.

Three criteria have been defined for preschool institutions: external assessment of the quality of work, participation in projects, and organization of activities with children with special educational needs and talents.

Kindergartens with a "very successful" rating can achieve 65 points, while participation in international projects carries 20 points, and the organization of additional programs carries 15 points.

Higher education institutions are evaluated based on external evaluation (up to 50 points), position in international rankings (up to 20), management of international scientific projects (up to 20) and mobility of teachers and students (up to 10 points).

The "Oktoih" award is traditionally presented at a ceremony on January 17th.
