A major storm accompanied by heavy rain, wind and thunder, which hit Ulcinj this morning at around 2:30 a.m., caused problems for numerous households and made normal traffic difficult in some parts of the city.
According to "Vijesti", by 17 p.m., about 90 liters of rain had fallen per square meter.
Early this morning, the situation was critical in the Đerane II neighborhood, and traffic was also difficult on Mother Teresa Street.
As we learned, water has also penetrated the "Brtastvo-jedinstvo" Secondary Mixed School, where classes were suspended today.
School principal Ardita Kovačević told "Vijesti" that students should be in their classrooms tomorrow.
The head of the protection and rescue service, Abdullah Nimanbegu, said that a house near the Post Office building was also threatened and was evacuated.
"All our teams have been on the ground since early this morning. With the help of pumps, we are extracting water from the yards of houses and garages in several locations. The situation in the city itself is stable for now," Nimanbegu told "Vijesti" today.
He stated that the protection service had not received any reports of flooding in the suburban settlements of Ulcinj.
