The owner of the company "Zeta fruit", Dragan Popović, claims that the culprits for poor sales and low prices of domestic products are at another address, and not as claimed by domestic producers and importers.

Popović, whose company deals with the import of fruits and vegetables and the purchase of domestic products, pointed out that he was irritated by the statement of farmer David Camaj, who told "Vijesti" that the season "has never gotten worse", for which "as always, he is the culprit import".

Farmers from Malaysia are planning to block the main road Tuzi - Božaj on June 8 or 9, due to what they claim is uncontrolled import of fruits and vegetables from Albania.

"I would ask the competent institutions to publicly state the structure of products imported into Montenegro from the field of agriculture, that is, the names of fruits and vegetables. Because I am irritated by Mr. Camaj's statement. While we imported zucchini and potatoes, as well as other products, the prices of the same are several times higher than the current ones," claims Popović.

He stated that it is impossible to import any article, if it is current in our country, because the price everywhere in the environment is higher than in our country.

"We have additional transportation costs and customs obligations. Mr. Camaj, potatoes exclusively from our area 15 days ago were from 15 to 20 cents, due to two days of rain, they disappeared on the domestic market. We imported it from Albania, and we sold it from 37 to 40 cents. On the first day when the conditions were created to harvest domestic potatoes, they were offered for 20 cents," said Popović.

He asked Camaj, based on that data, who is bringing down the price, us or you.

"The situation is the same with other products," Popović pointed out.
