Joković: A city that inherits priceless cultural and historical value
The President of the Socialist People's Party (SNP), Vladimir Joković, sent his most sincere congratulations to all citizens, wishing to celebrate this significant date in the spirit of unity, responsibility and vision of the development of one of the most beautiful cities in Montenegro.
Joković pointed out that Kotor is a city that inherits invaluable cultural and historical value, but also a place that has strong economic potential.
"Today's challenges and needs require wise management and a clear strategy - especially in the field of economy, tourism and sustainable development. That is why, together, we need to advocate for strengthening the local economy, creating new jobs, easing the business environment, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for better connecting traditional activities with modern economic flows. Only in this way can Kotor remain a vibrant, strong and promising city for generations to come," Joković said in his congratulatory message.
He wished the citizens of Kotor progress, stability and success, with the belief that by working together we will build a city that remains true to its roots, but also to its European future.
Pejović: A symbol of rich cultural heritage and historical importance
Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Boris Pejović extended his sincere congratulations to the leadership, as well as to all citizens.
Pejović pointed out that Kotor, the pearl of the Montenegrin coast and a city under UNESCO protection, has always been a symbol of rich cultural heritage and historical importance.
"Its squares, walls and streets have been shaped by centuries of encounters between different civilizations, creating an identity that is unique in the region and beyond. Kotor is not just a tourist destination - it is a living museum of the past, but also a contemporary center of artistic, cultural and maritime events. The Port of Kotor and a rich calendar of cultural events make it an important pillar of the Montenegrin economy and an indispensable point on our cultural map," Pejović stated in his congratulatory message.
He concluded that by celebrating Municipality Day, we pay respect to both their past and their present – communities that thrive, develop, and preserve their precious values.

Nurković: Jewel of the Mediterranean
"Dear President of the Municipality of Kotor, Vladimir Jokić, Dear President of the Assembly of the Municipality of Kotor, Majo Mršulja, dear citizens of Kotor, I would like to congratulate you with great respect on the Day of the Municipality of Kotor, a day on which we celebrate the rich cultural heritage, identity and historical significance of this unique city," said the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mirsad Nurković, in his congratulatory message.
Nurković said that Kotor is the jewel of the Mediterranean.
"A city whose walls, streets and traditions have survived the centuries, remaining an eternal symbol of perseverance, culture and the connection between man and the sea," he said, emphasizing that Kotor's location, spirituality and cultural heritage make it one of the most recognizable and precious places in Montenegro and the region.

Bečić: By celebrating the liberation of this city, we are also celebrating freedom itself
Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Bečić sent his congratulations to the Mayor Vladimir Jokić, the President of the Municipal Assembly Maja Mršulja, the councilors, as well as all the citizens of Kotor.
"In celebrating the liberation of this city, we also celebrate freedom itself — an ideal best understood by the vast horizons of Boka Bay and the heights of Lovćen. Today we pay tribute to the generations that protected Kotor not only with strength and courage, but also with knowledge, wisdom, diplomacy and perseverance that shaped its spirit for centuries," Bečić said in his congratulatory message.
He pointed out that by preserving the rich cultural heritage of Kotor, under the protection of UNESCO, we are also preserving the identity and dignity of Montenegro, adding that there are few places in the world where the glory of the past and the strength of tradition are felt as strongly as within the walls of the Old Town.

The Kotor-Lovćen cable car, which is a kind of tourist attraction, as well as the recently announced tender worth 50 million euros for the continuation of the route from Lovćen to Cetinje, are a clear message that accelerated development is at the very top of the state's priorities. With the wish that the Municipality of Kotor, led by Mr. Jokić, continues on the path of progress, good governance, financial stability, tourist progress, and infrastructural development, I once again extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Kotor," said Bečić.

Dear citizens of Kotor, on the day you celebrate the Day of your municipality, I would like to congratulate you and thank you for your persistence in preserving one of the most precious landscapes of our country, stated the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development, Damjan Ćulafić, in his congratulatory message.
"There are few places in the Mediterranean where nature and man touch to such an extent, and on this occasion I will quote the English poet Byron, who inspiredly wrote that 'at the birth of our planet, the most beautiful meeting of land and sea certainly took place on the Montenegrin coast'," said Ćulafić.
He pointed out that Kotor is a place whose beauty is not limited to visual impressions.
"... it is also a call to responsibility. That is why the ecological projects we are implementing together are more than administrative tasks: they are an act of respect for the coasts shaped over thousands of years, the forests that preserve the scents of the south, and the rugged peaks that build the recognizable Kotor skyline. Every step we take in a sustainable direction is also signed by your commitment," he added.
He said that he was particularly pleased by the growing environmental awareness in that community, which is visible in local initiatives, residents' concerns for the cleanliness of their neighborhoods, and their willingness to support new, bold models of spatial management.
"This civic energy is the strongest foundation on which we can build a long-term sustainable Kotor. Let this Municipal Day be a reminder that development and nature do not have to conflict - on the contrary, when balance is taken into account, they complement and elevate each other. I want Kotor to remain an example of a harmonious relationship between man and his environment in the years to come, a place where valuable heritage is preserved, but also bravely opens the door to innovations," concluded Ćulafić.

Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj sent sincere congratulations to the Mayor and the President of the Assembly, employees and all citizens of Kotor.
Dukaj said that Kotor, as one of the most important historical and cultural centers of Montenegro, with its rich heritage, recognizable identity and commitment to preserving the values of multiculturalism and coexistence, represents an important part of the overall development of our country.
