A Montenegrin family from Berlin, recognized for their numerous humanitarian actions, has decided to focus their humanitarian and business engagement outside of Montenegro.
They said that all projects contracted with institutions and individuals will be completed, after which their mission in Montenegro will be considered complete, while the focus of humanitarian engagement will be redirected to initiatives outside the country.
The statement was forwarded to the media by family friend Ljubomir Filipović.
"A Montenegrin family that lives and works between Berlin and Zug is a partner in several companies in these cities, where it makes a profit, and at the same time has decided to direct its humanitarian and business engagement outside of Montenegro," the statement reads.
It is recalled that in recent years they have invested several million euros in social and humanitarian projects in Montenegro.
For this family, as they said, it is crucial that activities have a real impact and it is not crucial where the projects are implemented, but rather that their results are visible, measurable and useful.
"Transparent communication is one of the foundations of their work. The family emphasizes that people value honesty and openness, and that a clear explanation of the approach and criteria for selecting priorities significantly reduces the possibility of misunderstandings and criticism."
They say they are grateful to all their collaborators and the community who have recognized their work over the years and enabled the smooth distribution of aid, saying that this period "remains inscribed as a time of pride, dedication, and joint action."
They believe that "it is important to recognize the value of contributions, act efficiently, and build trust in the community." However, as they say, they are aware that "this is sometimes not possible": "Projects and initiatives can take on unwanted dynamics, and results may not always go according to plan. Regardless, the focus remains on transparency, responsible action, and achieving the maximum possible impact."
The family emphasizes that "it is right to focus efforts where they are most useful and where initiatives are truly embraced."
"Criticism is inevitable, but it often reflects the expectations of others, rather than actual moral or professional wrongdoing. All projects contracted with institutions and individuals will be completed, after which their mission in Montenegro will be considered complete, while the focus of humanitarian engagement will be redirected to initiatives outside the country," the statement reads.
