The Ministry of European Affairs (MEP) has announced a competition for the "Europeanize Knowledge" internship, which is intended for students in their final year of undergraduate and master's studies at faculties of social sciences at universities in Montenegro.

As stated by the government department, the program provides a unique opportunity for young people to learn more about Montenegro's European integration, the negotiation process and European funds, as well as the work and organization of public administration, during nine weeks of internship at the Ministry.

"Through weekly rotations, interns will work with mentors in 11 directorates and two bureaus, participate in writing analyses, reports and materials for negotiations, as well as in preparing meetings and communicating with the EU," the statement said.

It is stated that during the internship, interns will also have the opportunity to learn about the work of the Chief Negotiator and the Minister of European Affairs.

Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević invited male and female students of social sciences to apply for the Europeize Knowledge program, because, as she said, it is not an ordinary practice, but an opportunity to see from the inside how Montenegro's European future is being built.

She said that the internship provides students with the opportunity to step into an institution where decisions are made every day that shape Montenegro's path towards the EU, making them part of that story, not just observers.

"You will gain experience that cannot be learned from books, and we as an institution will be motivated by your energy, ideas, and a fresh perspective on one of the most important processes in the country," said Gorčević.

Applications are submitted electronically, by completing the online form no later than December 5th, and information on the required documentation and the form are available on the website www.eu.me.

The MEP said that the candidates will be ranked by a committee from that department, and that the top ten will be invited to an internship that begins in January and lasts nine weeks.

"The internship is unpaid, and upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of successful completion of the internship," the statement said.

This is the second round of rotational internship at the Ministry of European Affairs.

The previous one was organized in December last year, when the ten best candidates also spent nine weeks at MEP, where they developed practical knowledge and skills through specific tasks, work with mentors, and participation in the development of key documents.
