Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor announced that it expresses its sincere and deep gratitude to the Montenegrin family from Berlin for the humanity, trust and kindness they have shown towards their community.
As stated in the statement, Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor has issued a statement regarding the information that the donor support of the "Montenegrin Family from Berlin", which in previous years was one of the largest donors to the Caritas soup kitchen in Tivat, is withdrawing from its activities in Montenegro.
"With deep respect, we would like to emphasize that the support of this family was of exceptional importance for the development and stability of the project. The 'Montenegrin family from Berlin' was the initiator of the 'Caritas Soup Kitchen - Tivat' project, and their help enabled the complete adaptation and equipping of the soup kitchen, as well as its smooth operation during the first and most challenging year of its existence. Their dedication continued in the following period through food donations and constant monitoring of the work of the kitchen, which left a lasting mark in the lives of numerous beneficiaries," the statement from Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor, signed by Director Željko Pasković, states.
They added that their actions were not just donor-driven, but were truly human, warm and directed towards those who needed support the most.
"They will forever be recognized with great appreciation and respect by all those they helped, as well as by the wider community that appreciates their charity. Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor continues its mission of serving the most vulnerable, relying on the support of the Municipality of Tivat, socially responsible companies, individuals and all people of good will. We are encouraged by the fact that the soup kitchen project is increasingly connecting with the local community, and that kindergartens, schools and other institutions are actively involving children in food collection actions and fostering empathy, responsibility and solidarity," the statement reads.
They concluded that Caritas remains open to future joint initiatives and cooperation, and they expressed their sincerest gratitude to the "Montenegrin family from Berlin" for everything they have done for "our city, our beneficiaries and our mission."
A Montenegrin family from Berlin, recognized for their numerous humanitarian actions, has decided to focus their humanitarian and business engagement outside of Montenegro.
They said that all projects contracted with institutions and individuals will be completed, after which their mission in Montenegro will be considered complete, while the focus of humanitarian engagement will be redirected to initiatives outside the country.
