The Ministry of Sports and Youth congratulated the Capital City of Podgorica and the team that, as they pointed out, with their dedicated work, faith and vision, led our city to one of the most important European titles - European Youth Capital 2028.
"This is a huge success for Podgorica and a strong incentive for young people throughout Montenegro. We especially emphasize that it was Minister Šćekić's initiative that was the driver of this process — an initiative that today, in the most beautiful way, experienced its full triumph and showed how important it is to recognize the potential of young people in a timely manner and give them space for development. We are proud that the Ministry of Sports and Youth is part of this story and that together with the Capital, we are building a Montenegro in which young people have the chance to create, progress and be the bearers of positive change," the statement from that government department states.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth announced that, as before, they will be a strong partner and supporter of all the following activities, in order to show together with the Capital why they deserve this, as they said, the most prestigious title intended for youth cities.
"Once again, we extend our congratulations and look forward to the years to come - years that will be marked by the energy, ideas and strength of youth," the statement concluded.
