Mujović and Alabar discussed strategic locations for the development of urban green facilities in Podgorica

The Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, spoke today with the founder and president of the Eagle Hills company, Mohamed Alabar, to whom he presented the concept of "green and blue infrastructure of the Capital City", through which Podgorica's investment potentials in the field of green areas, public facilities and the development of recreational spaces were presented in detail.

As announced by the Capital City, through this concept, Mujović pointed out the importance of developing mixed-use zones that play a strategic role in the transformation of Podgorica into a modern, sustainable and functional city.

It is added that Mujović presented Alabaru with opportunities for the creation of new parks, rest areas and children's facilities, as well as for the development of quality recreational and sports zones.

"Special emphasis was placed on the importance of establishing a continuous network of walking and cycling paths, which would connect key parts of the city and provide citizens with more space to spend time outdoors. The Mayor explained that these locations represent long-term potential for valorizing space, improving the quality of life and creating a recognizable urban identity for Podgorica," it was announced.

Among the most promising locations are the Old Airport, Lješkopoljska Gorica, the corridor along the Morača River, the Zlatica forest park, Dajbabska gora and other locations that offer opportunities for investment and development of spacious green zones, landscaping and additional facilities.

Mujović emphasized that the great advantage of these locations lies in the fact that they are predominantly owned by the Capital City, which in the event of the start of investments significantly reduces administrative and property-legal obstacles and creates extremely favorable conditions for the rapid implementation of projects.

Mujović emphasized that these locations, along with their contribution to green infrastructure, could become a recognizable symbol of Podgorica in the future, valorized in accordance with modern urban planning standards. He also emphasized that certain segments of the presented zones are also economically attractive, as they offer opportunities for integrating accompanying facilities that can generate additional value.

Alabar, it was announced, expressed interest in the presented projects and pointed out that Podgorica has an exceptional climate, attractive locations and a large unused development space. He added that Podgorica is a wonderful city with wonderful people and numerous opportunities, and that he is ready to consider specific proposals in the coming period.
