The central public debate on the draft Decision on the budget of the Municipality of Kolašin for the next year interested only representatives of the opposition, so in addition to the proposers, only councilors of the Movement Together We Build Kolašin (DPS, SD, SDP and non-party figures) and the president of the DPS Municipal Board were present. Vladan Bulatović.
Their suggestions mainly related to infrastructure projects, namely the need to prepare planning documentation, which would initiate the processes for large projects. Also, the amounts for some of the key Kolašin summer events were questioned, as well as subsidies for water bills and garbage collection for vulnerable categories, that is, households with people with disabilities or beneficiaries of family financial support.
Bulatović, as in previous years, drew attention to the need to build underground garages under two city squares, as well as the district heating project. According to him, it is inexcusable that there is a lot of garbage along the roads from the city to the Klisura tunnel and from Mateševo to the city.
Bulatović also expressed concern that the announced increase in taxes on construction land sales will also discourage potential investors. The President of the DPS Municipal Assembly also praised the Municipality's intention to expand the cemetery, but believes that the area should be upgraded, both organizationally and architecturally. Bulatović says that this could be achieved in part through donations. He also criticized the slowness in adopting, or amending, planning documents.
Secretary for Finance, Property and Economic Development Vuk Vukovic He explained that the Municipality has already purchased land for the construction of the city garage, and that the competition in which the best conceptual solutions were selected has been completed. He also explained that significant funds have been allocated for the preparation of project documentation for four years. According to Matija Bulatović, councilor of the Movement Together We Build Kolašin, it is necessary to solve the problem of large amounts of garbage along the roads. He announced that he will request funds through an amendment to the draft Budget Decision, which would provide video surveillance at the most critical points.
