Montenegro has a real opportunity to become a leader in the application of advanced technologies, and artificial intelligence can contribute to building a modern, competitive and sustainable economy.

This, as announced by the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM), is the joint message from the second national conference "AI Direct: Montenegro in the Time of AI Challenges" in Podgorica, organized by AMM, the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro and the Academy for Leadership, Management and Corporate Governance.

They said the event confirmed its status as a key national gathering dedicated to advanced technologies and the development of the digital economy.

AMM President Budimir Raičković, among other things, highlighted an important development:

"Our chance is to quickly catch up with advanced technologies. It's time for bold, fast decisions."

Opening the event, Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj emphasized the strategic importance of this area: "AI is a reality that is changing the way we live and work. Our task is to direct this change to the benefit of the state and society."

Keynote speaker and global investor Mohamed Alabar reportedly sent a strong message about Montenegro's innovation potential.

"In Montenegro, we can do something big and the most advanced - projects that will be designed and powered by artificial intelligence," he said.

In the central part, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić emphasized the development opportunity facing the country.

"AI can become a new development branch of Montenegro - side by side with energy and tourism. People are the key."

The conference, as announced by AMM, continued with quality panels:

The panel "AI in Banking and Business - Pros and Cons" raised issues of data security, responsible application of AI, and optimization of banking processes. Participants included: Miloš Pavlović, Bratislav Pejaković, Budimir Raičković. Moderator: Sergej Kapustin.

AMM: The Oxiom project has nothing to do with Alabaro

The Managers' Association denied the comments and allegations that were reportedly seen on social media.

They stressed that the Oxiom project has nothing to do with Mohamed Alabar, nor with the company "Eagle Hills Montenegro" or members of his team in Montenegro. They also point out that the project was not mentioned by Alabar during his speech.

"We apologize to Mr. Alabbar and the Eagle Hills Montenegro company if this comment caused any inconvenience. To be precise and clear, we emphasize that everyone involved in this field knows that the first phase of the Oxiom project development was presented last year in November, at the first AI conference. The technical hitch that can occur during such large gatherings has been resolved and the project was successfully presented to those present in the continuation of the program," the statement reads.

AMM thanked all organizations, institutions, companies, individuals and media that "provided exceptional support to make this demanding conference possible."
