The Municipality of Bar has announced a national competition for the development of a conceptual architectural design for a public parking garage near the green market facility in Topolica.
According to the Competition, the public parking garage should be located on urban plot A2-UP3, Block 2, Zone A, which consists of cadastral plots number 5825/8 and 5827/5 of the Novi Bar Municipality within the scope of the Detailed Urban Plan "Topolica IV".
Contest participants are expected to propose competition solutions that will strive towards contemporary trends in architecture and whose form will be recognizable, in accordance with the functional solution, announced the Municipality of Bar.
The proposed solution should be economically sustainable with the application of modern technologies in order to achieve energy efficiency and reduce negative environmental impact.
"Also, the facility should integrate modern parking standards, energy efficiency, landscape design and architectural integration of the planned facility into the surrounding urban context, all in accordance with the guidelines specified in the competition brief and other competition materials," the local government said.
The construction of a public garage at this location represents a particularly important step in improving communal order and reducing traffic congestion in the inner city, they assessed, while relieving traffic from illegally parked vehicles.
"The new parking capacities will provide a systemic and long-term solution to the lack of parking spaces in Topolica and will create conditions for tidier public areas and a quality urban environment," concluded the Municipality of Bar.
