The "Become an Internet Genius" project by the Do Good Foundation was also implemented at the "Aleksa Đilas Bećo" Elementary School in Mojkovac.
As announced by the Do Good Foundation, 15 sixth grade students attended six thematic workshops.
"Wisdom, caution, security, kindness and courage were just some of the virtues discussed during the workshops," the statement said.
Educator Zorka Vojinović from the non-governmental organization Corteks said that as part of the "Be an Internet Genius" project, she is leading the second and third modules of workshops, dedicated to one of the most important topics today, internet safety.
"Through the module "Beware of Scammers - Investigate Carefully", I talk to students about how to recognize the most common online scams, why critical thinking and checking information are important, and how timely reaction can prevent serious consequences," said Vojinović.
The third module, "Keep Your Secrets - Explore Safely," she added, focuses on practical skills from creating strong and unique passwords to understanding the importance of protecting personal information.
"I am glad that students are actively participating, asking questions and sharing their experiences. I believe that through this project, we will together take an important step towards creating a safer online community in which young people know how to protect themselves and use the internet responsibly," said Vojinović.
Ena Bošković, a sixth-grade student at the "Aleksa Đilas Bećo" Elementary School, said that the "Become an Internet Genius" project was important for her because, together with her peers, she learned how to behave safely on the internet.
"The knowledge we gained at the workshops is very important for us, the children. We learned how to recognize scammers and fake accounts on the internet, how to create a secure password, but also what a digital trail is. We realized that we should not leave our personal information everywhere," said Bošković.
The Foundation said that the "Become an Internet Genius" project is funded by the Innovation Fund of Montenegro through a program for the implementation of educational programs in the areas of smart specialization.
The project, as it is added, has so far been implemented in the "Risto Manojlović" Elementary School in Kolašin, "Aleksa Đilas Bećo" Elementary School in Mojkovac, and the "Kekec" Elementary School in Sutomore.
It is stated that next year the project will be implemented in the Elementary School "Radojica Perović", Podgorica, Elementary School "Njegoš" Cetinje and Elementary School "Druga osnovna škola" Budva.
