Former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratić is not obligated to compensate the state for damage caused by final judgments in lawsuits filed by school principals she dismissed during her term.
This is the verdict of the Podgorica Basic Court judge Nikola Bošković.
The verdict, which "Vijesti" had access to, states that the request that Bratić be ordered to pay the state the amount of 15.281 euros as compensation for the damage the state suffered by paying litigation costs in proceedings based on the lawsuits of former directors is rejected.
During 2021, Bratić dismissed more than 140 directors of educational institutions, with the explanation that they violated their work obligations, because they did not form school boards.
Most of the directors who decided to sue the state due to dismissal during the Bratić mandate won the case in the basic courts.
