Representatives of the Zeta village of Botun held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Montenegro, Johann Sattler.
They arrived at the meeting with Sattler at the EU Delegation in Podgorica around ten o'clock.
Satler previously said that the residents of Botun had not been listened to for a long time, emphasizing that it was important for all views to be expressed and for everyone to hear each other.
Speaking about the referendum in Zeta, he previously stated that he was glad that the issue of the wastewater treatment plant and environmental challenges were being discussed, although he assessed that this might have been done earlier.
He added that the problem of red mud is also being monitored, for which 30 million euros have been allocated, and expressed confidence that the issue of the plant planned in Botun will also be successfully resolved.
Zeta said "no" to the wastewater treatment plant in Botun yesterday - according to preliminary results, almost 8.000 Zeta residents do not want a collector in their neighborhood.
The residents of Botuni expect that official Podgorica will respect Zeta's position.
