Dedication and willingness to go a step beyond the mandatory curriculum distinguished Anastasija Dobrilović as the best student at the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) of the University of Montenegro (UCG).
This was announced today from UCG.
The statement added that Dobrilović was awarded the award by the Rector of the University of Montenegro, Vladimir Božović, for his average grade of 9,82 in the Political Science - International Relations study program.
The third-year student at the Faculty of Political Sciences was born in 2004 in Nikšić, where she spent her earliest childhood, while she completed her primary education in Podgorica. She graduated from the "Petar I Petrović Njegoš" Gymnasium in Danilovgrad with a "Luča A" diploma, after which she enrolled at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Montenegro.
"During her education and studies so far, she has been active in numerous domestic and international initiatives. She participated in the European Commission's 'Young European Ambassadors' project in the Western Balkans, as well as in EYCA projects, through which she attended trainings and camps across Europe. A special place in her academic development is occupied by a study visit to the People's Republic of China, where she was one of the representatives of the University of Montenegro," the statement reads.
The University of Montenegro said that in addition to her academic obligations, Anastasija volunteered in humanitarian actions and participated in projects of the UNDP, UNICEF and the non-governmental sector, as well as in workshops dedicated to youth activism, media literacy and European integration.
Speaking about herself, Anastasija says that her friends and colleagues would describe her as "an extremely dedicated and ambitious person, always ready to help."
She points out that she chose the Political Science and International Relations study program because of its breadth and multidisciplinary approach.
"This program provides a fundamental education in various social sciences and enables the development of critical and analytical thinking necessary for understanding contemporary political and social challenges," said Dobrilović.
A special place in her student experience is occupied by her professors, whom she sees as an important source of inspiration and support.
"Professors have been an inspiration to me in different ways – through their expertise, approach to work, and the way they convey knowledge to us. The moments when they take the time to point out mistakes, give honest advice, or share experiences from their professional and personal lives were especially meaningful to me," Anastasija points out, adding that it was precisely such conversations that guided and encouraged her towards personal and academic development.
He singles out balancing academic obligations and numerous extracurricular activities as one of the most important challenges during his studies.
"With good organization and clear priorities, I managed to balance all my obligations and fully enjoy the student experience," says Dobrilović.
She is most proud, however, of the recognition she received for being the best student at the Faculty of Political Sciences.
"For me, this award is confirmation that dedicated work and perseverance are always recognized," she points out.
He advises students just beginning their academic journey to view college as a space for growth and new opportunities.
"Faculty is not just an obligation, but a space in which you shape yourself, your views and your future career. The Faculty of Political Science offers much more than lectures and exams - there are debates, projects, conferences, internships and opportunities to meet people who share your ambitions, with the selfless support of academic staff. Don't be afraid to go a step further than is expected of you," concludes Dobrilović.
