The Executive Director of the Pljevlja Coal Mine (RUP), Nemanja Laković, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Montenegro, thereby actively participating in the initiative "Scholarships for the best - jobs with the best".
On that occasion, Laković emphasized that investing in youth represents an investment in a secure and sustainable future, emphasizing that the Pljevlja Coal Mine will continue to be a reliable partner in the education and development of professional personnel.
The Mine's statement states that within this year's program, in addition to financial support, the best students of the University of Montenegro will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and professional experience at the Coal Mine.
Aleksa Čarapić from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Filip Drobnjak from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and Teodora Leovac from the Faculty of Civil Engineering were awarded the right to a scholarship and professional internship this year.
"RUP once again confirms that knowledge and young people have a special place in the development of the company. In addition to financial support, we provide students with the opportunity for professional practice and professional development, thereby helping them to translate their knowledge into concrete experience and more easily enter the labor market," said Laković, adding that with this type of support, the company wants to show trust and further encourage young people on their professional path.
As announced, this initiative represents another step towards strengthening cooperation between the education system and the economy, with the common goal of creating successful, motivated and skilled young professionals.
Laković also emphasized that he is particularly pleased with the fact that today's students will, in the near future, be the bearers of the development of the electric power system and leaders who will responsibly lead companies towards a modern and stable future.
Students will be awarded scholarships in the amount of 300 euros per month for ten months, with the possibility of doing professional internships or professional training within the Pljevlja Coal Mine.
