The Ministry of Public Administration recognizes partnership with all relevant stakeholders as a key potential for progress, not only in the digital transformation process but also in all other areas, said the relevant Minister Maraš Dukaj.
"In that sense, we continue with continuous dialogue with representatives of the business community. I believe that through joint efforts we can create a more favorable investment climate and thus contribute to the sustainable development of our country," said Dukaj.
Dukaj, along with his associates, met today with Branko Mitrović, member of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Investors Council in Montenegro (FIC), and Executive Director Arijana Nikolić Vučinić.
During the meeting, the key findings of the White Paper Investment Climate 2025 were discussed, relating to the efficiency of public administration, the digitalization of public services and the regulatory framework for e-government, with a special focus on their impact on the business environment and investment climate in Montenegro.
"At the same time, the positive steps that the Ministry of Public Administration has already taken were highlighted, including the adoption of the Plan for the Full Implementation of Transactional Electronic Public Services at the National and Local Levels for the Period 2025–2027, as well as the development of new services available through the e-government portal," the Ministry announced.
The meeting concluded that the dynamics of digitalization require strong coordination between multiple institutions and continuous cooperation between all involved actors.
The SSICG brings together companies that generate around 21 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) and employ almost six thousand people.
"Our White Paper is intended as a tool for improving public policies and, in this vein, we strongly support the concrete steps that the Ministry is already taking towards digital transformation and modernization of public administration. This is an important component on the path to creating an attractive and competitive business and investment environment," said Mitrović.
The participants of the meeting pointed out the importance of improving the accessibility and speed of administrative procedures, strengthening administrative capacities and inter-institutional cooperation, as well as the need to further develop digital public services, in order to save time and reduce costs not only for the economy but also for all actors in society.
The interlocutors concluded that an open and continuous dialogue between institutions and the business community is of key importance for the successful implementation of reforms, strengthening trust in public administration and improving the overall investment climate in Montenegro.
