An exhibition of works by Veselin Filipović, a resident of the nursing home in Podgorica, was organized tonight.
The director of the Nursing Home, Jelena Šofranac, said that Filipović exceeded the expectations of employees and visitors this year as well.
"Guided by what he loves most, he successfully brought to life the motif of the ship and the sea, where he spent half of his life. You will recognize the longing but also many other motifs. In addition to the drawings, you will also be delighted by the wooden figures he created," said Šofranac.
According to her, Filipović's exhibition is one of the most visited events at the Home for the Elderly.
"He deserved it with all his virtues. His works change, but his motives remain the same," Šofranac said.
Filipović said that Šofranac made the residents' stay in the nursing home dignified.
"After her words, I have nothing to add," said Filipović.
He added that the exhibition gives him great pleasure.
"Maybe at least part of this exhibition was made so that I could meet again with other people with whom I beat up half of Montenegro. I didn't want to go any further because there is nothing more beautiful than our homeland," said Filipović.
As he stated, he sees Šofranac as a "guardian angel".
