Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said that he believes that an agreement will be reached with the residents of Zeta and that construction of a wastewater treatment plant will begin, while respecting the views of citizens and international obligations.

He congratulated the leadership and citizens of Podgorica on December 19 - Liberation Day and Capital City Day.

Spajić said that Podgorica represents one of the most striking examples of national vitality and unwavering focus on a prosperous future.

"The title of European Youth Capital for 2028 further confirms and strongly encourages the identity of Podgorica as a city of youth, enthusiasm and great life opportunities," said Spajić.

He also pointed out the importance of implementing one of the major local projects - the construction of an ecological wastewater treatment plant.

"With full respect for the democratically expressed views and needs of the citizens of Zeta, but also of all citizens of Montenegro, as well as respecting the assumed international obligations and mutually binding contracts with European partners, we are confident that we will reach an agreement and begin construction of the facility," said Spajić.

As he pointed out, the implementation of this, as well as other infrastructure projects, creates conditions so that by the end of accession negotiations and full membership, the European Union will be richer for another respectable, functional and sustainable administrative-university, economic-transit, Mediterranean, cultural-sports and tourist center.

"Focused on projects of public interest and the achievement of strategic goals, convinced that together we will successfully overcome all the challenges ahead of us, I once again extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of December 19th," concluded Spajić.
