Biram Bar and PZP: Free transportation for a more dignified life for the elderly and people with reduced mobility

Councilors of the Biram Bar Club - Movement for Change, at the session of the Bar Municipal Assembly, which will be held tomorrow, will present an earlier amendment to the Proposal for a Decision on the Budget of the Municipality of Bar for 2026, which proposes the introduction of a free van transport service for the elderly and citizens with reduced mobility, especially from rural and suburban settlements.

This was announced by the Biram Bar party, stating that the amendment stipulates that the van picks up users at their home address, transports them in an organized manner to key institutions - health centers, hospitals, pharmacies, post offices and banks - and, upon completion of their duties, safely returns them home.

For the implementation of this measure, it is planned to allocate 30.000 euros, through the redistribution of funds within the budget.

"The aim of the amendment is to reduce social isolation, improve the availability of basic services, and ensure a more dignified and secure life for citizens who need this support the most," the statement said.

This amendment, they claim, sends a clear message that Bar must be a municipality that cares for all its citizens - regardless of age, place of residence, or physical abilities.

The Biram Bar - Movement for Change councilors' club, consisting of Radomir Novaković, Milena Božović and Aleksandar Lekić, expects the support of the Bar local assembly for the adoption of this amendment.
