Ulcinj Parliament gives the green light for the establishment of a company that will manage the saltworks?

Before the Ulcinj parliament members, at the session scheduled for tomorrow, as an addition to the agenda, there will be proposed decisions on amendments to the decision on the proclamation of the Ulcinj Salt Pans Nature Park and on granting consent to the Agreement on the Establishment of a LLC for the Management of the Ulcinj Salt Pans Nature Park.

As "Vijesti" previously reported, the Government of Montenegro and the Municipality of Ulcinj have agreed to form a joint venture that will manage and develop the Ulcinj Salt Pans Nature Park with a capital of four million euros over the next five years.

The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, announced at the time that the establishment of the company is planned for early next year.

"The new LLC, which will be responsible for managing the Solana Nature Park, will have a total capital of four million euros, provided over a period of five years. The Government will participate in the financing with 60 percent, while the remaining 40 percent will be provided by the Municipality of Ulcinj," Nimanbegu announced at the time.

The company will initially have only one employee – the director.

Also, as a supplement, the agenda will include a proposal for a decision on the proclamation of the boundaries, status, category and regime of the protected natural area of ​​the Natural Monument "Velilka Beach near Ulcinj" and proposals for decisions on granting approval to the work program and financial plan for 2026. LLC for the preservation and protection of biodiversity, breeding and hunting of game and fishing, Public Institution Center for Culture, LLC "Možura", Public Institution Day Center for Children with Disabilities and Developmental Difficulties "Sirena", Ulcinj Planning Agency and Ulcinj TO.

In addition, the councilors will discuss the draft Decision on the 2026 budget, which is planned in the amount of 23,862 million euros. The agenda will also include proposals for the Assembly's Work Program for 2026, the Spatial Planning Program, the Decision on the adoption of the Cultural Development Program for the period 2025-2029. in the Municipality of Ulcinj, the Decision on the adoption of the Local Disability Plan for the period 2025-2027. in the Municipality of Ulcinj, the Proposal for a Decision on approving the Work Program and Financial Plan of LLC "Parking Servis" Ulcinj for 2026, the Proposal for a Decision on approving the Work Program and Financial Plan of LLC "Water Supply and Sewerage" Ulcinj for 2026 and the Proposal for a Decision on approving the Work Program and Financial Plan of LLC "Communal Services" Ulcinj for 2026.

Also on the agenda is a proposal for a resolution on the appointment of the Council of RTUL LLC, as well as a supplementary proposal for a resolution on the reimbursement of costs for the work of the Commission for the selection of projects for the valorization of cultural heritage in the territory of the Municipality of Ulcinj.
