Environmental inspector Irena Popović today postponed the execution of the decision to close the boiler house on Skerlićeva Street in Pljevlja, after citizens and service users, gathered in front of the boiler house, twice refused to allow her to enter and implement the decision of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development.
Several dozen citizens and employees gathered in front of the boiler house, saying that closing the plant in the middle of the heating season is unacceptable.
The inspector first tried to implement the solution without assistance, while on the second attempt she requested police assistance, but was told that the conditions for police action had not been met.
"Please, let me go, I have to go in," said Popović, to which the crowd replied that she didn't have to and that they wouldn't allow the boiler room to be closed.
After that, she left the scene, and a little later the citizens dispersed.
The inspector made a report in which she stated that the citizens did not allow entry into the boiler room, and that there were no conditions for implementing the decision. According to the report, the director of "Grijanje" Vlado Tošić was given a legal deadline of 48 hours to present objections to the report.
The Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development issued an enforcement decision ordering the closure of the boiler house due to environmental irregularities and measurement results.
The director of "Grijanje" Vlado Tošić told "Vijesti" that they received the enforcement decision yesterday around 12 noon and that they have appealed it.
The appeal requested a postponement of the execution of the decision, that is, that the closure of the boiler room be postponed until the end of the heating season, with the explanation that the suspension of work would have serious consequences for the citizens of Pljevlja in the winter period.
