Saša Mujović, the current mayor of Podgorica, continues to surprise the public with his "offers" to the citizens of Botun, and he does so in an extremely controversial manner, because it has never happened before that we, as the Municipality of Zeta, have offered, for example, the residents of Maslin in Podgorica anything, but we see that Mujović is invading the territory of Zeta with unabated intensity and offering guarantees that are not only not his jurisdiction, but also grossly infringe on the competences of the Municipality of Zeta, the Municipality of Zeta announced today.
They said this because earlier today, Mujović offered the people of Botunja the implementation of a number of significant infrastructure projects.

"In this regard, we would like to tell Mr. Mujović not to worry about local roads in Botun because we have already invested 400.000 euros in reconstruction and we will continue to invest. The main road is asphalted, the school has been renovated, but we do not know who would go to that school if a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) were built by force. Do not worry about pensioners or training grounds, because the mandate of our municipality is marked by the renovation of children's playgrounds, local roads, schools and kindergartens, but the sole culprit for the stagnation and even faster development of our municipality is you because you have not transferred a square meter of land to our ownership and instead of engaging in cheap populism and trading like in a market, which you present as some kind of guarantee, it is better to stick to your own backyard. Transfer what is indisputable to the name of the Municipality of Zeta, let what is disputable go to arbitration," the statement from the Municipality of Zeta emphasizes.
The local government said they saw that Mujović was mixing up jurisdictions.
"So you mention the reconstruction of the low-voltage electricity distribution network, which is the responsibility of CEDIS in both your and our municipality, and when you are already mixing up jurisdictions so much and worrying about the situation of neighboring municipalities, we remind you that no matter which side you decide to enter the Capital, barricades and stopped works await you, starting from Zabjelo to Donja Gorica. We will not even mention the traffic chaos and parking spaces, but we ask that you no longer interfere in the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Zeta," said the Municipality of Zeta.
They told Mujović that if he cared about agreement and compromise, he should understand the messages from the local referendum, because over 98 percent of the citizens of the entire Zeta region, with an election turnout of almost 65 percent, clearly told him what they thought of his offers and his plans.
"If you want an agreement, complete the demarcation and build a WWTP on the territory of your municipality for the needs of that same municipality," said the Municipality of Zeta.
