Franeta: The condition of the road on the approach to the Old Town is alarming

Budva Democrats warned that the condition of the road on the approach to the Old Town, in the ramp zone, has become a serious threat to the safety of citizens and tourists.

"Visible and increasingly pronounced cracks on the road clearly indicate irresponsible neglect of the problem by the authorities. Considering that the Communal Inspection was on the ground and made a report on the current situation, we consider this a clear appeal to the Secretariat for Investments to take concrete and effective measures within its jurisdiction without further delay," said Željko Franeta, a member of the Democratic Montenegro council in the Budva parliament.

It is unacceptable, he pointed out, that one of the most important locations in Budva is waiting for an incident to occur in order to react.

"On behalf of OO Demokrata Budva and on my own behalf, we demand urgent intervention, expert assessment and immediate rehabilitation of the terrain, because human lives and property are clearly at risk," Franeta said.
