As a sign of gratitude for the help provided to their family member, the family of Ljiljana Miljić donated a biochemical analyzer for determining biomarkers - troponin, CRP and D-dimer - to the Žabljak Emergency Medical Service Unit.
As announced by the Emergency Medical Service of Montenegro (ZHMPCG), this donation will greatly improve the work of the emergency unit, given the distance between Žabljak and the Pljevlja General Hospital.
"So rapid and reliable diagnostics, especially in acute coronary syndrome, will be of exceptional importance," the statement said.
It is emphasized that Žabljak is a tourist destination where emergency medical services are of great importance.
The ZHMPCG said that the unit in Žabljak has been fully renovated and equipped with modern medical equipment, and that after the New Year, the purchase of an ultrasound machine is planned, which will further improve the quality of health services.
Director of ZHMPCG Vuk Niković thanked Miljić for the valuable donation.
"We are here for the citizens, and only together, with mutual trust, can we restore confidence in the Montenegrin healthcare system," Niković emphasized.
The donation was presented to the Unit's responsible doctor, Bishop Barjaktarevic, who presented Miljić with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the ZHMPCG.
