In addition to being proposed outside the legal deadline, the budget of the Municipality of Kolašin was poorly drafted, especially in the capital part, and therefore intervention with amendments was necessary, but unfortunately, this was not enough for the councilors of the government and the Mayor of the Municipality, Petko Bakić, with his incredible statement that subsidies for membership fees in sports clubs, assistance to pensioners for transportation and medicines are populist, announced the DPS-SD-Citizens Club of Councilors.
They also add that, according to the president's statement, subsidies for school excursions are not needed by Kolašin children because excursions are not mandatory, and due to the will of the local councilors, the citizens of Kolašin were left without capital transportation projects, and the Gorštak Football Club was left without funds to celebrate the club's 100th anniversary.
The DPS-SD-Citizens Club of Councillors reminded that at yesterday's session of the Kolašin Municipal Assembly, they discussed, as they said, very important decisions that should have been adopted in the interest of the citizens of Kolašin, but to their regret, by decision of the councillors of the ruling majority, with the negative opinion of the Mayor of the Municipality, each of the nineteen (19) amendments submitted by our Councillors Club to the Proposal for a Decision on the Budget for 2026 was rejected.
"The seriousness of the government councilors is best demonstrated by the fact that during the debate that lasted almost twelve (12) hours, only two (2) councilors from the ruling majority came forward for the discussion, each uttering one sentence. It is interesting that not a single government councilor came forward for the budget debate, so it is clear how much they themselves believe that the budget is in the interest of the city and its citizens," the statement added.
The councilors' club said they were leaving it to the citizens of Kolašin to judge for themselves how much the current government thinks of them.
"Because yesterday, for the umpteenth time, the mask used to cover up the government, and under which lies frivolity, incompetence, negligence and inaction, was removed," the statement concludes.
