The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management reacted to the article "Locals hope for the continuation of the works: Asphalted section of the road connecting the settlements of Osreci and Ljuta in Kolašin with the main road", published on the Vijesti portal.
They said that the Ministry has continuously invested in improving the road infrastructure in these villages in the past two years. This year, they point out, 24.000 euros have been allocated, while in 2024, 10.000 euros have been allocated for improving the road infrastructure towards the villages of Osreci and Ljuta.
"According to the data we received from the Municipality of Kolašin, the villages of Osreci and Ljuta have a total of 26 residents, not 150 families, as stated in the text. In this context, the untrue allegations made by local resident Vlado Jovanović are particularly concerning, as are the claims about the alleged lack of response from the Ministry, although the Ministry of Agriculture has been actively investing in the road infrastructure of these villages for two years. If an investment of 34.000 euros over a period of two years in two villages, where 26 residents reside, is not considered a positive signal, then we cannot speak of a realistic view of the facts, but of deliberate distortion of data and the dissemination of disinformation to the public," the response reads.
They said that, since Minister Vladimir Joković took over the department, the Ministry has set the improvement of rural infrastructure, especially in the north of Montenegro, as one of its main priorities, and that Kolašin is among the municipalities in which the most investment has been made.
"The ministry expects that verified information is used during public appearances and media reporting, so that the public is truthfully informed and the contribution to the development of rural areas is adequately presented," the response reads.
