Special prosecutor in the Special State Prosecutor's Office Nataša Bošković has resigned from that position, the Prosecutorial Council announced.
At today's session, the Council adopted a Decision on a basic salary supplement for performing certain jobs in the State Prosecutor's Office. According to this decision, the salary of civil servants and employees assigned to the ranks specified in Article 9 of the Sectoral Collective Agreement for the field of administration and justice will be increased by up to 30 percent.
The session considered 10 complaints against the work of state prosecutors and heads of state prosecutors' offices in terms of the legality of their work. The Prosecutorial Council gave an opinion that six complaints were unfounded, and for two complaints it was determined that the Prosecutorial Council had previously given an opinion. For one complaint, an opinion was given to refer it to the competent state prosecutor's office, while for one complaint, an opinion was given that it was not a complaint regarding the legality of its work.
Three complaints from state prosecutors and heads of state prosecutors' offices regarding the threat to their independence were considered. The Council gave its opinion that all three complaints were well-founded.
"The Council has decided that Special Prosecutor Nataša Bošković's position as Special Prosecutor in the Special State Prosecutor's Office will cease, through resignation," the statement reads.
